This project began with recreating 24 emojis in Illustrator. From there, using the vector shapes that made up the recreations, I made a series of radial designs. By randomly separating the emojis into groups of three, I created the base for eight unique mandalas. Taking a step further, I animated two of my favorite mandalas into looping gifs.
