	This project was focused on creating imagry from another person’s imagined world. I was paired with a colleague who’s world was centered on a post-apocalyptic New York City where large carnivorous plants had taken over. 
I began with collecting images of different locations and their corresponding plants (Manhattan paired with Venus Flytraps and Brooklyn with Pitcher Plants). The process was largely based on putting images into Photoshop and moving them around until they fell into place. Once the plants were where I wanted, I went through to color match the scene and blend the components together.

︎Portals Animation
	Here’s a collection of Gifs and animations that I’ve created in the past few years.&#38;nbsp;
The first eight are based on the eight basic emotions of Anticipation, Surprise, Trust, Anger, Disgust, Fear, Sadness, and Joy. This set features a character of mine, “Tip”, and I wanted to challenge myself to convey these emotions with simplistic forms.&#38;nbsp;
Also shown is a rotoscope animation Gif (a test for a different way to depict Disgust), and three cinemagraphs.
The “Portal” animation is a part of a larger video that features conneting segments done by different artists into one storyline.

	How can a location be mapped without space and distance?
The first step was figuring out where I wanted to focus my map, and I ended up choosing a stretch of Metropolitan Av. in Williamsburg. Since I had many memories at multiple locations along this route, I decided to use the mental images I had to map how I envision the area. Using colored pencils, I created “orbs” that focused on the color and light of each place. The choice of shape was inspired by the way memories are depicted in the movie Inside Out, as spheres with the memory playing within them. After each location was drawn, I took photos and ran them through a simple image editing app to up the saturation and add texture. Then it was a matter of organizing them in a space, adding a stylized background, and using light, shadow and glow to add depth and a
 vibrant atmosphere.

	This began as a series of instructions given to us by someone else via a messaging app. The first week I was given the steps to create an oragami heart. For the next step of the assignment we recieved one more open-ended step to expand upon the work we already did.
Using translucent colored paper, I made more hearts and photographed them on a lightboard. The goal was to capture the layers and folds of the hearts and the different shades of color. From here I put the images into Illustrator and played around with size and orientation to create geometric patterns.

	Alternate InternetMapping with Memories -&#38;gt;
Adapting Interfaces -&#38;gt;
	This project is more conceptual and focused heavily in the research behind it.
The two parts were to take a dive into how the internet works and, using what we found, come up with an internet that utilizes an organic communication system.
My work is centered on allelopathic plants which communicate by sending out different componds.
The images below are visualizations of the proposed alert system, the figures representing the signals sent out to alert nearby systems of an virus or other threat.

	Emoji Mandalas

Paper Hearts -&#38;gt;


	This project began with recreating 24 emojis in Illustrator. From there, using the vector shapes that made up the recreations, I made a series of radial designs. By randomly separating the emojis into groups of three, I created the base for eight unique mandalas. Taking a step further, I animated two of my favorite mandalas into looping gifs.

	Our Solar System Within Reach
	This “Fusion Project” was for an astrophysics class, the goal for this was to combine a chosen topic from our research with our major. I decided to focus on the scale of our solar system and create a series of posters for each major celestial body.
In addition to typographic elements and photographs, each poster has a solid circle (or partial) that represents the accurate proportional scale of our solar system at a digestable size.
